Ohio Early Childhood Advisory Council Seeks Workgroup Members
The Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) is establishing seven workgroups to assist with the next phase of planning and development of recommendations for the early childhood development system. These committees will be a collaboration between the ECAC and the Early Childhood Cabinet with representation on each committee from both state agencies and external stakeholders. Each committee will be chaired by a current member of the ECAC.
The seven committees represent our comprehensive vision for the early childhood system and the major tasks that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is requiring the ECAC to complete. The good news is that Ohio has received a grant, in the amount of $3.6 million over the next three years, to be utilized to support this work.
Here is a list of the committees:
- Early Care & Education
- Family Support
- Comprehensive Health
- Special Needs/Early Intervention
- Communications
- Needs Assessment
- Accountability
The application will be available at http://www.build-ohio.org/index.html until November 19. Please share this information with your colleagues that may be interested in applying.
