OPAN

The role of a OPAN parent is to be an advocate for Head Start and Early Childhood Education at the local level and where possible the state and national level  and to focus that advocacy through participation in events, social media and training.  To be a voice for children, parents, caregivers, and families to ensure every infant and toddler has access to high quality early childhood education and positive experiences.

Currently we are not accepting applications; next class will begin June 2025.    Applications will be accepted from February - March 2025.

OPAN has trained over 150 parents and have started an alumni group after the OPAN parent has graduated the year long program.   The group meets each month over Zoom and once year in June at our Annual OPAN Alumni meet-Up where all OPAN alumni parents from various classes join together for training, networking and enjoy a family styled dinner with all our families.   Our alumni parents have testified at the Ohio capital, serve on national parent engagement boards, and traveled to Washington, DC to represent Ohio for quality childcare.
